DOS

Denial of Service.  Denial of service is the result of maliciously crafted communications (i.e. attack) upon a computer system, which results in either the computer or the service provided by the computer as being unavailable for use.

Access denied!

This can happen with hackers attempting to bring down an ISPs DNS, Email or Web services.
