Creating an Automatic Filter Rule for Mozilla ThunderBird
These instructions are for users of hte Mozilla ThunderBird Mail Reader. The messages we are going to create a Filter for are potential Spam ladden messages from our SpamZapper Service.
Because your administrator can change the threshold at which messages are sent, quarantined or deleted, you may or may not see any messages which have the word Spam Status in the Subject line.
Our first task is to create a folde, which we will call Spam, to hold the messages in:
We will create a New Folder called SPAM. Enter the information in the fields, and select the location you want the New Folder to be in:

After creating the New Folder, it is time to create the rule to sort the messages. Click on the Tools section of the Menu bar, and then select the Message Filters, as shown below:
The message filters window will pop-up to permit you to add a New Message Filter. Don't forget to press the New button to begin.
The Filter Rule window will be displayed and you can then fill out the form with similar information.
After Clicking OK, you will be presenting with the Message Filters list with all of the Filters you have configured for Thunderbird.
I you highlight the Spam Filter, you can then press the Run Now button to run the new filter on the Inbox.
That's it. Now the Automatic Rule will separate any message with the words Spam Status in the subject line to a New Folder.
