Viewing the Logfile
SpamZapper-Logo

Before the advent of SpamZapper, you had to have administrator rights, as well as be well versed in Unix Systems in order to understand the inner workings of the Sendmail Package and it's logfiles.

The SpamZapper has simplified the complexitiy of Email, and has given Email back to the User. Our SpamZapper service permits email to be used once again for the purpose it was originally intended, to communicate with others.

You probably remember how it was before you started using the SpamZapper, and how much time you spent filtering the 'wheat from the chaff'.

After adding the capability for many users to whitelist their email accounts, or even to eliminate the verification of email senders (you can turn off the Verification process via the administration GUI), several users have requested the ability to review the logfiles for both their account, or the entire domain.

We are happy to report that if you have access to the Server Administraotr GUI, you can now review the Email Logfile for your User, or Domain.

Here is how it works:

  1. Log into the Server Administrator using your Account information Server Administrator.
  2. You should see the Main Page which looks like this.
  3. Select the SpamZapper menu item from the left and then select the domain or Email Account to administer from the Drop-down list. You should see one of the Graphical Reports.
  4. Select the View Log button, from the menu bar.
  5. You can no choose to select the Entire Domain (if you are a Domain Admionistrator), or just the email address which you have access to.
  6. Select a specific date, or ALL for all available records in the logfile (Our Servers record on0line information from Sunday to Sunday).
  7. Press the Fetch Button, and you have all of the information from our servers available to you.

Dear Concerned Internet user,

This issue describes one of the Newest features of the SpamZapper. This feature is a follow-up to one of the suggestions made by one of our customers. We hope that you find it as useful as they did.

In this Newsletter, we will explain the steps needed to make use of the Log viewing feature for the SpamZapper, and it's Email / Filtering logs.

  • Graphical Reporting

  • As you can see from the images on the Feature Article, the SpamZapper includes Graphical reporting of Email, Spam and other information for each of the users Domains, Email Addresses ....

The SpamZapper also includes Graphical Reporting from the server's perspective for MANY different types of information. For instance, this Page depicts the general Traffic information for the past 48 hours, one month, and one year.

Now you can easily depict the number of Viruses with your network. This one depicts the amount of traffic which was generated from a Known Source (which we blocked), and recorded to prove a point.

And this final sample (but not the limit of our Reporting ability), depicts the IP Addresses which generated the Viruses.

Spam Filtering is only one of the many services we offer in Internet Security. The SpamZapper is also protected with our Proprietary IPS service. Whether you are a small company with 10 to 100 users, or an ISP, our IPS is protecting our Email and Hosting Facilities, while others are shutting down (or perhaps being shutdown).

Part of our success is the ability for us to deploy an Active Defense against unwanted Internet activity. This not only includes our ability to thwart Spam, and Phishing attacks, but also our Proprietary Defense of unwanted communications. Our active defense is essential in the ability for our server to remain active more than 160 days (the last power cycle on the servers in out last equipment move).
